A Different Approach to Fertility, Pregnancy and Postpartum Care

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine for Fertility at Blue Jay Acupuncture in Denver

Our Approach

Chinese medicine doesn't start with your hormone levels or your latest blood test results. It starts by asking how you arrived at your current picture of health in the first place. We look at your whole pattern, the deficiencies and blockages that might be standing between you and a pregnancy, or a healthy one once it starts.

Through acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, we move what is stuck and support what is deficient. It's an approach with roots going back over two thousand years, and it works well alongside the Western treatment many women are already pursuing.

Your treatment plan is built around your specific pattern, rather than a standard protocol. Two women with the same Western diagnosis might walk out with different combinations of acupuncture points and herbs, because what's driving their fertility challenges looks different underneath. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine is a powerful complement to the care you are receiving from your OB/Gyn or fertility clinic, addressing the parts of your health that a hormone panel or ultrasound doesn't capture on its own.

Your First Visit

We start with a full picture of your health and your fertility goals, ideally around six months before you plan to conceive if you already know there's an issue, though it's never too early or too late to begin.

2

Your Treatment Plan

We build a plan specific to your pattern, combining acupuncture and herbal medicine at whatever frequency fits your timeline.

3

Your Ongoing Care

As your body responds, we adjust your treatment and coordinate with your OB or fertility clinic if you're seeing one. We're also here to support you through pregnancy and postpartum.
